Hello,

I have a 2011 Guild D50 Bluegrass edition, adirondack spruce over magnificently grained east indian rosewood with Dtar pickup. The Dtar pickup is the only one Vince Gill will use. This guitar has been very well taken care of, played previously by a pro musician, bought from Carter's vintage. Upon getting it I had the action set to the lowest possible clearance without buzzing while still allowing the adirondack to really sing if strummed with a hard attack or a very very sweet fingerpicking tone if that's your style..

In the process of making it perfect, I had it plekked and a new bone saddle put in, perfectly intonated during a setup by the best tech in Dallas. Special purpose guitar polish used across entire guitar body, fretboard cleaned and oiled.

I'm selling for $2000, shipped. Private sale through venmo, zelle or PayPal friends and family. Or pickup in the Dallas area.

This guitar is a cannon with just unbelievable note separation. It will take any style you throw at it.

Im including a few pictures and a link to 20 pictures.

Only selling because I got a 2014 cutaway so this just sits in it's humidified case.

Let me know any questions!

Link to all pictures

Would trade for a Santa Cruz om/pw with cash coming from me.

Man I love my D-40 Standard but the Traditional models from that era are just stunning.

Very pretty guitar!!

Thank you!! It plays like a dream, I am sad to part with it but I have my eye on a high quality om so a few have to go. I'll be listing a couple more guilds in the next few days. Hoping to cut down to 5 or 6 guitars, from about 15.

Thanks! I think its priced fairly, as its OBO as well so there's a little wiggle room - but with the age, rareness and the work put into it, the guitar is buy and play ready ... the thing is so shiny that I had problems taking pictures that you could clearly see my face unless I put it at an off angle.

But, With Covid and tight budgets, I know the market is a little sparse of buyers, which I get. Im in the same boat.

I love the guitar and had I not bought the 2014, I would be keeping it - but I really want an OM - It's not doing the guitar justice sitting in it's humidified case, it needs a good home where it can be played.

I just had my second guitar “Plek-ed” and I’m very impressed. Getting frets dressed and crowned works great — been doing that for 45 years — but that process removes portions of the frets that don’t need to be removed.

Plek-ing levels only as much of the fret as needs to be leveled and leaves the rest of the fret untouched.

The playability of my post-Plek-ed guitars is exceptional.

I was trying to move the D-50 to pay for a commissioned guitar that I want but, If I dont move it, the 2 guilds that will be up for sale and are up for sale pending a reasonable offer (I haven't priced them yet).

They are a 2012 D-150ce and a 2020 F-150ce, both all solid, Sitka Spruce over East Indian Rosewood.

Both with the really nice Guild hard-shell soft cases. I actually like those cases better than a traditional hard case, I wish all manufacturers would switch over.

Anyways, That's what I got. I will be putting others up for sale from different brands - I spent 2020 playing a bunch of different brands and refining what I liked, I probably bought and sold 75+ guitars - so 2021 is recycling the money of around 20 guitars into maybe 5 or 6 guitars.

Oh, I should also learn to play them at some point too hahaha.

After watching my friend play my Cherry flat back D-25 for 2 hours last night I was ready to give it to him and sell the rest.

Someone posted here a few days back..."I'm unworthy". That's how I felt.

My instructor plays a entry level taylor, 114ce - and listening to him play - as im playing on a nicer eastman, it made me question why I own more than 1 guitar - and why that guitar is more than entry level. I hate it - but, the player is 90% of the equation.

Bump for a beautiful looking and sounding guitar - I just bought some Santa Cruz Parabolics - If those come and they turn out to be what this guitar needs for *ME* to like it... - this ad might just be coming down haha.
