I bought this a couple years ago on Reverb, just because I guess. I don't have a lot of love for electrics and have sold off most of them and am now down to 4 including this one.

He says it's a 70's M 75 and it looks like it may be but I surely don't know what all those switches are on the guitar. Here's his write up from the listing (if you can call it that):

'Hard to describe, bought it from Willys in Saint Paul a trusted source, he got it on trade from Sheril Crow, his word only, Lots of electronic changes in the guitar and it sounds and plays great, this is a good deal as I am selling off about 20 guitars.'

Here's a couple pics and I could do more if it would help one of you experts tell me what I've got here. I believe Hans told me once but I can't find his answer and am too embarrassed to go back to him and ask again.

I'm likely going to put this out there for sale or maybe trade for an acoustic that I'd likely play more.

Thanks for any and all help.

It has Dimarzios with coil tap switches and prob phase, a la Jimmy Page Les Paul wiring, this lets you get all kinds of squack Strat tones from Gibson style guitar.

It's modded and kind of busy but still cool and my only question is how much does it weigh, is it under 8 lbs?

Best thread title ever!

Yes, I'm guessing that is a heavy guitar... Cool, though!

Can’t tell without seeing the wiring up close.

I've got a screw loose. Yeah, many of you will say, no big surprise there. But, I'm talking about this M 75. I've got the back cover but no screws to attach it to the body. Are there unique kinda screws that I need to but to fit this guitar or are they pretty generic??

Here's a pic of the back I didn't include before.

If memory serves they’re just Gibson style pick guard screws.
