Hello Steffan,

That's a '64-'65 X-50. The knobs are not the original ones and there's no clear view on the peghead, so we can't see what's going on with the machineheads. Other than that it seems to be in original condition.

Is the pu a humbucker?

That's a single coil pickup Jeff.

I'd say $800 is a fair price, but I would want to see more detail of the binding, etc. From the photos you have shown, it looks to be in nice shape! I love my '65 X-50!

Here is a pic of the back, aside from some finish wear, looks fairly decent to me...but I probably won't see the guitar for another week, I kinda hope I can swing this deal, but its also making other things awkward......like paying hydro...rent.....groceries.......etc. :roll: Steffan

Does he have a case? The back is a little rough, but that's not that big a deal. If it's bare wood you would want to seal it with something, but if the binding is in decent shape, she looks pretty cool to me. Be sure to check out the tuners and electronics.

You don't need food or water, but a guitar is a necessity.
