Snagged a Leslie rotary speaker assembly off of an old Lowery organ

Snagged from a trashed out Organ. Whole organ is trashed save for this unit I harvested from it that still spins. Gonna make a cab for use with a guitar amp!

It spins from a motor driving a rope?
Yes I believe that’s how it’s usually done on a Leslie. I plan on making a cabinet for it to better work for guitar.

It currently has a 8” speaker in it. I hope it doesn’t have that horrible boxy midrange these smaller speakers always seem to have. I’ll give it a chance before I decide to bump it up to a 12” or 15”. I can’t imagine it being a particularly powerful speaker.
