So after playing my guild with a new super low bridge, I've decided I do not like it's sound. Something 'plinky' about it now, even though my bridge height is still about 16+mm. Anyway, I'm putting the original bridge back in and making it a dedicated slide guitar from now on.

Any particular slide resources/recommendations gladly accepted. I currently can good around a little in open G, but I haven't really applied myself much to slide over the years.

Anyway, thanks for any responses.

Look up David Hamberger on You Tube. He has a ton of stuff on open G tuning, as well as other stuff.

Thanks a lot! I really like his teaching style. So grateful this forum exists.

David Lindley was a wizard on anything with strings, but he played lap steel in E tuning. He used the same interval relationships for tuning to other keys; A, C F. Ry Cooder plays in a variety of keys, but quite often in G.

Slide is leading me down the path to a resonator right now. That's probably the next thing.
I have resonators both square neck and round neck. Kind of one trick ponies.

I have some different lap steels that I enjoy far more. A Weissenborn style is a lot of fun also.
