Beatrice (~6 year old, multi-color, stoic relaxation-addict) and Jolene (2 year old, mostly grey, goofy firecracker). Good cats, livin' and lovin' the good life.
*My wife and I are both dog lovers as well, but we still have some travel plans for the next year or two, plus our family members currently live a minimum of 2.5 hours away, so I don't think it's the right time just yet for us to adopt a pooch.

Rasheed, What a great looking pooch!
Thank you. He's a Bull Mastiff. 130 lbs. He's around 10 years old now. Which is fairly elderly for the breed. I adopted him in Silver City, NM 8 years ago.

I've posted pics of Tank here before and told his story. Adopted from neighbors when he was a super chonker, but now he's slimmed down to his appropriate weight. He's a grand old man at 17. Here he is in two of his regular modes -- head in armpit and classic blep.

This is Gizmo - came to us as a stray on July 4th a couple years ago. Must have been all of six weeks old. Like to hang out on top of the grape arbor. We have another black cat, but she is not a poser like this guy.

I know that look. What happened next? Cup on floor? Foam on cat nose? Human drinking? Distraction elsewhere?

What actually happened: I sat down with my cappuccino and the cat sort of rose up from the other chair to see what was happening. I wish I had that on video because it was sitcom-level funny. I quickly slid my cup over so it might look like he was drinking it and snapped the pic. He never had a chance to knock it over because there's no way I would leave my beloved morning cappuccino out of reach long enough for that to happen.

He did knock over his bowl of cat food (which was on the kitchen center island) the other day after which Sully had fun cleaning the floor.

Just one of our thousands of tree frogs that sing at night.
