Serial Number Question

I was looking at a friends x-170 and for some reason there was not a serial number stamped on the back of the headstock. There was a label in the f-hole and everything. On my other Guilds there has always been one on there. I was wising to know how common of a thing this is.

No, that would not be a common thing but my first question would be, if there is a serial number on the label and if so, can you tell me what it is?
