"Sammy Hagar's Rock and Roll Road Trip" on AXS TV is a pretty cool show, I've posted about Hagar's use of a Guild acoustic on the show before. Anyway, new episode last night with Hagar going to Vegas. First two parts were forgettable (Carrot Top interview (seriously?) and Styx interviews).
But in the last part he interviews Don Felder, and then the two of them do an intimate version of "Hotel California" with Felder on a double neck Gibson. I'm tired of the over-played "Hotel California", like many people, but it is clearly a great song with great guitar playing. The camera really focused on what Felder was playing, etc. He really rocks the solo! Very cool!
Here's a glimpse of it - I recommend it if you see it on your TV listings!
