Sam Ash Closing All Stores

Went to the nearest Sam Ash store today to see what there was to be had. I was too late; the vultures have all descended already. The place looked like it had been looted. Sad.

Sam Ash in Paramus, NJ was in the same location for any years, on Rt. 4, right next to an entrance ramp, which made getting into the parking lot a very tricky maneuver, and it was at times, very dangerous. I almost got hit a couple of times. That store closed a couple of years ago, and it had gone downhill very badly over the years. The drum department was pretty barren, and there were a lot of midline and cheap guitars, plus the sales staff was lackadaisical and inattentive. I shopped there from the time I was 18, but had stopped going there a while ago.

It was inevitable Ash would close down after Sammy Ash died a while ago. We'll see what happens. Maybe they'll continue as an online operation.
