From Manchester myself. I think the shop I got it from was in Bury, not certain. I think it was early 90's. I've never played or even held an S90 or S100. I wanted one after reading an article about "Les Paul slayers" and with my preference for being a little off-beat, so an S100 or Yam S2000 became my holy grail. Unfortunately such articles sent prices for them skyhigh. I paid around £350 for the S300, which was probably top end retail back then.

You are clearly a man of taste! The S90 has the same body shape, timbers, neck profile, bridge, tailpiece and pickups as the S100 but the latter has two volumes and tones, a phase switch and block fretboard inlays. My mate bought it new in 1974 (it was a 1973 guitar) but he stopped playing in bands around 1980 and it lay in its case under the bed for over forty years until I bought it off him last year. Great guitar but I don’t really get on with SG shaped guitars (especially Gibson SGs).
