I'm in the process of buying a case for a S-300 but have a pre-production model that might or might not have the correct production body width. Can a few of the S-300 owners just measure how wide they are (I'm just trying to find out if they are typically smaller or wider than 14.25") (Hans book shows 14.25".)
The one I have is about 14.17" wide (or 36 cm). I appreciate any input from S-300 owners.

Thanks!
Ralf

Dylan seems to be travelling currently, so I couldn't talk to him directly yet, so my concern is that his S-300 might be smaller than my one. His just fits the new case but there is not a lot of room on both sides. I just want no surprises when I order that case.

Right so - I hereby declare my misunderstanding of such brilliant system - what can one expect from someone living in the finnish sticks 😏

Wikipedia : " . . . Historically the "foot" was a part of many local systems of units, including the Greek, Roman, Chinese, French, and English systems. It varied in length from country to country, from city to city, and sometimes from trade to trade. Its length was usually between 250 mm and 335 mm and was generally, but not always, subdivided into 12 inches or 16 digits. . . ."

335 / 250 = 1,34 - a measly 34% difference 😂 on foot length

250 / 16 = 15,625 digit length
335 / 12 = 27,917 digit length

27,917 / 15,625 = 1,787 - not much either - less than 79 percent 😁

Maybe I'm not too old to abandon my degracious habits and still have hope to internalize THE precise measurement system.

To be on safe ground - was it the left or right foot?
And who are we talking about? 🐾

C’mon, no metric. Why does 95% of the world insist on using these evil systems instead of following the one true and perfectly logical system based on the size of a long dead rulers foot.

I mean, REALLY!

Since this is my site, I hereby decree that we will use my foot as the standard moving forward.

Oddly enough it measures 12” on my 30-year old ruler, so there you go.

Is your ruler dead or alive?

Is it a he or she or it ?

Thanks all! Looks like my one follows the production size of the body. So I'm gonna order the case.
