My daughter went to Rothbury to see The Dead, Dylan, Willie Nelson, String Cheese Incident, Ralph Stanley, Counting Crowes, etc., and here sits ol' Dread at home! :(

Guess I'll pull out a Guild and spend some time with it

No, but ol' Dad doesn't really feel like spending $350 on a concert ticket...

I keep telling 'em, I saw Zeppelin for $9, The Who for $10, Doobie Bros. & REO for $6, Aerosmith and ZZ Top for $6, ...

Yowee Dread   I was gonna say that I gotta get out more ... I didn't realize how much it costs to go to the Big Deal concerts but, on second thought, at those prices ... holy moly :( :(

I refuse to go to festivals like this. It's sad to me how comercial live (and pretty much any other form of) music has gotten. A local festival that I love to check out is the Great Blue Heron music fest in Sherman, NY.

it's pretty big, as far as how many people attend it, but it's all volunteer run on private property in the most beautiful rolling hills amish country around. if anyone is remotely close to this area, I suggest checking it out next year!
I just got back from it yesterday and it was excellent as always :)

Every summer we have three Concerts in the Park, and the Blues Fest. All very talented bands. Most trying to cell there CD’s. And the best part it’s free. Even I can afford that. $350 a ticket? Wow!
