The city of Rockwall hires me a few times a year to play the San Jacinto Music Series in downtown. Pay is good, crowd is good and tips are good.
I had my D-35 in full force and I had a Fishman SA220 as my PA. This little line array PA is absolutely killer. I would recommend this for the solo artist or the small band that needs something for smaller venues. You can run a mixer to it quite easily if you need more channels. Also you can run a monitor to it. It held its own in an outdoor scenario with a wide spread. I even brought my Roland Street Cube EX in case I need some additional reinforcement. Didn't use it.

Rockwall is a cool town D. We used to come over there a couple times a year. Mrs. West used to make and sell beaded jewelry and there used to be a supplier of beads and a place that taught the craft there in Rockwall. Gosh we've still got a closet full of turquiose, onyx, coral, malachite......all kinds of cool rocks from over there. I actually got in touch with my feminine side there and since I'd gone over with her, sat through one of the craft classes. If you swear not to tell anyone, I actually made several bracelets that she sold. But we like Rockwall. I've often wondered what happens when there's an accident on that I-30 bridge? Cool set up there, and yes, believe me, I know it was HOT! On top of the 100 plus temps for about 7 weeks now, here where I live, we've had 1/8th of an inch of rain since mid May.

Very carefully Uke! It was ballz out there for sure. That blue cooler held the magic keys to keeping me from melting.. Shiner beer and water.
It was great gig.

Very cool WRL! I love turquoise and onyx for jewelry. Good stuff. Yeah we have been out here for 13 years and we like it a lot. Downtown has really blossomed in the last 5 or 6 years. This music series also draws a really nice crowd. You can bring your own cooler of adult beverages and pick up food form one of the 4 or 5 independently owned eateries on the square. Hot is putting it mildly. Yeah the yard is getting a beating for sure - as is my electric bill.

Let me know when you do it again D. We're 100 miles east of you, and just might make the trip if it were on a 70-80 degree day. :)
