RIP Peter Infeld

Peter Infeld, owner of Thomastik-Infeld, died at age of 66 near Vienna. He was well known for collecting art, sponsoring and producing strings for bowed as well as guitar instruments. 200 people are producing over 3000 (!) different strings.

So young... sorry to hear. TI strings are, without a doubt, in a class of their own. I use them on guitar and mandolin.

Sad news, from what I 've heard about the man he was a very interesting fellow - surely did make the very best strings.
