I have recently acquired another Blonde! A '78 F50. Its gonna need a little TLC but I got it for a great price! I live in the Los Angeles Ca area. I'd appreciate recommendations for someone who is honest, reliable and can do complete repairs at a fair price. I've found someone at a local music store who can do great set-ups but that's kind of his limit. Hope to hear back soon. Thanks

I'd send pm's to Treem, LA, and Dadaist, just to move the inquiry along. They all live down there, but who knows how long it might take for them to see this posting on the forum.

Well, I just stumbled upon it now. Grad77 here is a story about LA's 59 M30 nightmare. To make long short Renson's Guitar Shop (818) 761-4766 was to repair the neck demage and did an awesome job. Just over a month ago LA offered it to me and now I own it! Love this 59 M30. Tell Norick (Renson) or Brett that you know me!

+1 for Tristan's recommendation for Norick's shop. His prices are reasonable (or as reasonable as
anything can be in SoCal?) and the craftsmanship is top drawer. Not everyone can can work on a vintage Guild or Martin...as I've found out. His shop is in North Hollywood....and the last time I was there, I got to talk with Paul McCartney's rhythm player who had just picked up a '50 SJ-200. That's the level of work that this shop does.

Took my D25M to get a set up plus new bone nut and saddle. Thanks for the recommendation. I met Brett. Wow talk about job security!!! If I ever decide to go back to work, I'm gonna study to be a Luther! There seems to be quite the demand for good ones.
