1967 Guild Mark VI made by Carlo Greco in very good condition. Rosewood back and sides, ebony bridge, and 3-piece mahogany neck. Action is medium height with no buzz, the saddle has plenty of room to be lowered. There are three small professionally repaired cracks repaired by renowned classical guitar builder GV Rubio. All cracks are perfectly lined up and hard to spot. This is a fabulous classical instrument that I will dearly miss. These Greco made Guilds are both rare and undervalued in the vintage guitar world. Comes with the original hardshell case. $2300 Shipped.

It's been a while since he posted his WTB, but you might reach out to Bobcat... he was looking for a Mark VI.

Hello,
Great looking guitar! Is that East Indian Rosewood? Also do you have any more pictures of the guitar and case?
Thanks,
John

Going by looks alone, I would say it's Brazilian, but not all the '60s Mark V/VI/VIIs were. I had a '61 Mark VI for a while that Hans confirmed was one of a batch made of EIR. One thing about the Higher Mark series is that Carlo always used his best stash of wood for the guitars, some are made of 150+ year old Brazilian rosewood.

Thank you for the reply! It certainly is beautiful rosewood, incredible Carlo used such old Brazilian rosewood. I'm very curious to know if this model is in fact Brazilian. I agree with you that is does appear to be so. I am now wondering what the top wood is as well? Sitka?

Some tops are Sitka, some are cedar, like my wonderful '74 Mark V. @hansmoust would be your best bet to confirm if it's Brazilian, but even he might not be 100% certain.

Unfortunately I don't know whether the back and sides are Brazilian. The store I bought the guitar from claimed it was Brazilian Rosewood. To me it looks more like Indian but I'm really not an expert on where Guild sourced their woods. What I can tell you is that either way the thing really sounds great. I'll take some pictures of the guitar in the case and get them to you asap.
