Thought I might start a thread where we can put in video clips of random Guild sightings, one off things etc ( a bit like Your favorite picture(s) of an artist playing a Guild thread).

Here's a band The Turtles playing a song "Outside Chance" from 1965, I assume they may be the original artist. I first heard the song when it was done by the Chesterfield Kings (notice the Guild link!!). I noticed the Chesterfield headstock from a Starfire bass in this clip.

I posted a pic of this guy in the pictures thread with a carved S100 - here he is with an ash S300-D by the looks of it. You don't see many clips of these.

There are other videos where he us using S100s. Bobb are you a member here?!!

Ok, not going to let this thread die (at least not today...).

Was looking at some acoustic pickups & found this on the LR Baggs site - really like this guy. D40?

Double (I think) Guild sighting - SFV & Starfire bass - brief glimpses. I remember this song when it came out just after the punk era but it's got a bit of a rockabilly feel, mixed in with some Celtic influences to me.

Alas at 2:27 it looks like the bass is a Gibson EB-2. I'm going by the pickup - it looks wrong to be a Guild humbucker and it is mounted too close to the neck.

Sorry to disappoint & thought maybe one of you bass experts could confirm one way or the other. I though I saw the Chesterfield but seeing what I want to see I guess. I'm glad you actually watched the video!

It's actually a very early Starfire IV in cherry with added bigsby which you can see in minute 1:35 and 2:47.

Alas at 2:27 it looks like the bass is a Gibson EB-2.
Yes, but not 2:27 but 2:47. Same Gibson bass also visible in minute 0:02 already.

Another one from him, a bit more up tempo. He has a few more using the same guitar.

Zelja, I just read this thread, thanks for your post of Matthew Perryman Jones from 4/12. He is an excellent find! Cheers.

Here's one with jazz guitarist Mary Halvorson talking about and demonstrating her unique playing style & approach. Her main guitar is an Artist Award. (Actually, calling Halvorson a "jazz" guitarist is kinda limiting…she's not really a genre player.)

Tim Rogers from Aussie band You Am I with a Starfire III, doing a duet of "Stop Dragging My Heart Around". From the local show Rockwiz which often gets artist together for these type of duets:

I can't tell for certain, but doesn't the guy standing at the wall in back have one, too?
