Are the two guitarists plugged into the same amp?
Side bar:
My freshman year of college (1966-67) a friend's psychedelic band was really operating on a shoestring. The keyboard player couldn't afford a Farfisa, so he played his accordion. The rhythm guitar player bought a St. George electric guitar and the two of them played through the same amp, with less than ideal results. My roomate bought a Teisco knockoff of a Hofner "Beatle" bass from the same pawn shop that had been the source of the St. George. Another guy played harmonica and mimicked Mick Jagger. The drummer had played in his highschool marching band in Ohio. He had really short hair, so he grew a moustache and wore a beret and a neck scarf, which made him look more like a beatnik than a hippie.
The band leader/lead guitarist/main vocalist was the only member of the band who had decent equipment (and an ego to match): a Gibson SG through a Vox amp. Their musical talent was pretty much in line with the quality of their instruments, but they
did do a lot of drugs, just like "real" bands did in those times.
At school dances, they'd open for the best garage band in the area who, by comparison, sounded utterly professional. Then, at a big dance around Christmas time, my roomate's band got bumped when the "good" garage band opened for Quicksilver Messenger Service. I don't recall for sure (it was a long time ago) but I don't think my roomate's band got much work after that.
As you were...
