I present.........A GAD-JF30-12 converted to lefty, which actually consisted of Rick at Guitar Guys making a bone nut and me removing the pickguard. Hope the pictures are clear enough!

good grief, I hope someday I figure out posting pictures right. I know sometime in the past a helpful LTGer gave me info to help me but I forgot some of it.

OutSTANDing! I hate the GAD pickguard anyway. So, the JF-30-12 came your way, AB. That's great. How do you like the sound?! This model outplayed everything in the store when I tried it. Wonderful.

Looks like a real nice guitar!!

I noticed that the saddle slot is right handed though. To get good intonation they would need to fill the saddle slot- then recut for left hand.

Enjoy!

It sounds incredible and actually, it is like opening up the more I play it. That is weird considering it's brand spankin' new but it sounds different today than it did we I first brought it home.

The first songs I played on it were; Wish you were here, Mr. Tambourine Man, Turn, Turn, Turn, and My Back Pages.

The neck feels so good on it and the clarity of notes, especially arpeggio's, is also incredible.

My bandmate and friend Lee is a luthier (a Martin D-42 owner). We have a gig at a private party tonight and I'm going to ask him to do it. I checked the intonation and it is good but I'd like it better with the saddle reversed. Probably have him make a new bone saddle too.

I couldn't find my stash of Guild picks I've had since like the early 70's, so I found a local parts dealer on Ebay. (They live just 5 miles from me but insisted on shipping them....$3.00) 12 heavy Guild picks for $5..I love them on the acoustics.

Thanks Steffan :D
