This is a 2004 tribute to the Beatles song "While my guitar gently weeps". Tom Petty , Dahni Harrison, Stevie Winwood, Jeff Lynne (ELO) and Prince at 3:35 with an amazing lead guitar performance. Enjoy

I've always thought that Frank Zappa and Prince are probably the two most under-appreciated electric guitarists.

I totally agree Sandy. Although I don't care for Prince-music in the least.

Really? I think Prince has done a lot of brilliant stuff. The further away it gets from his really popular stuff the better it is, though some of the popular stuff is still really good pure funk. "Kiss" is great, even when Tom Jones does it.

If I ever had a guitar hero, Mr. Nelson would be my 1st choice.
He is one of the most outstanding artists in pop music.

Prince is under rated as a guitarist, and as a musician in general. Kiss is a cool song, and as I recall, the last 45 I bought. As Dual Dogs said, look beyond the pop hits and there is a lot of great music.

and it's not a fender. it is a '52 tele copy professional series model by the german manufacturer hohner. later the model was called "the prinz", massive maple body with massive walnut stripe in the middle, perloid bindings and a slim maple neck.

That's a sweet guitar and he plays it amazingly. I keep going back to watch the video over and over. At 5:02 Prince gives Tom Petty a look and grins as he's peelin back the strings. He owns this song from 3:35 to the end.

Just to tweak you... the song is "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", not sleeps... (unless you are an air traffic controller, of course)

It's for sure that most of the better telecasters are not made by Fender. Mine's a copy, too. I love it.

Shamelessly taking advantage of a "show-off" moment...

Yep. Gotta give him creds where they're due. Glad I gave the movie "Purple Rain" an open-minded viewing back in the day.
