Looking to buy my first semi-hollow / hollowbody and am torn between a Starfire III and one of the Starfire IV family.
I've been able to play a SF4 (sweet!), but not the 3. It sure looks cool in BB's hands, though!
How bad is the hollowbody feedback on a Starfire III?
I've used only solid body electrics in a band setting. But I do use (and have contended with) feedback from acoustics. A touchy acoustic benefits from a notch filter equiped amp or preamp.
Can you use a preamp with notch filter effectively on a guitar like the SF III? Is feedback really that much of an issue?
