Pot and wiring replacement on a Starfire SF V

I recently purchased a Korean-built Starfire SF V, I did a good setup on it and love the way it plays and sounds, but the volume pots are useless and if I am going to replace those, I will replace all the pots, switches, and wiring. They sell the whole harness with new pots and switches all wired on the Guild website for short money, but I don't want to put the same pots in and end up with the same issue down the road. I know I will probably have to ream out the holes for the American standard-size pots and other electronics to fit through the top, I can live with that. My question is will the American pots fit through the F holes, that I refuse to modify. I am sure other people have replaced the pots on the Starfires and would love to know how they made out.
