Gosh, how did this happen? I'm curious, were the guys just sitting around and thought, "Let's try playing the same guitar, together !" However it came about, these two guys are talented guitar players. Or should I say, guitar player and bass player? :D  8)

I did a variant of this long ago, with my twin brother. Only it was an alto sax. And involved plenty of drinking. He'd blow, I'd stand behind him, reach around and play the notes. It was a little too strange for most onlookers (for us too!)

Back in the day, my pal Bill and I had occasion to do a variation on that theme, as well. I played rhythm and he played lead (one guitar).
And I'd be willing to bet that there just might have been a little drinking involved, too!

MD,
Twin brothers who play the alto sax...and, does your brother play guitar, too? The four hands video might be an inspiration...or not. :)

Playing a piano duo is pretty common, but I guess even instruments that we think of as one-person-at-a-time can show innovation. Or too much time on one's hands or ......as you mention, drinking. 8) :)

Joe,

That is some crazy video........it did make me chuckle this Monday morning,

Tommy Emmanuel & his brother Phil have been doing that for many years (I'm too lazy right now to look up a UTube video, but there's probably one out there).

We saw them do a variation of that schtick a couple months ago. Tommy stood behind Phil, & reached around Phil to play Phil's guitar - while Phil reached back & played Tommy's!

The fact that my twin brother does not play guitar - or any instrument - vexes me to no end. He loves the guitar, always has. And would be really good at it. He has a standing offer to take any amp, any guitar from my house and go for, but won't do it.

What would it be like to play music with your twin (really play I mean)? I should know that, but probably will never find out.
