I can't tell you how often people show up to an open mic I help with and it is the very first time they have ever plugged in. The battery is often dead. They have no clue they even have one. We end up micing them. And least you think I'm immune, I bought a Martin D 35 custom, and never realized it had a repaired side crack for months. I have a mirror and routinely inspect my guitars. But I liked the guitar so much, I just played it. I'd have bought it anyway. As for the seller not knowing, it is very common. To answer a previous question that is now moot, The Lyric on it's own has next to no low end. It works OK as one part of the Anthem , but I hated it on it's own.
