Love it! And there were these classics, too. . .
I grew up in Cleveland, and there's a huge funk tradition in Ohio -- The Gap Band, Zapp, The Dazz Band, Bootsy's Rubber Band, Ohio Players, Isley Brothers, Slave, Faze O, Lakeside, and a bunch of others. I was in a band that once opened for The Gap Band. Super fun!
