Not sure what the use would be for such a list. In this case we're looking at a Guild guitar that was restored by Guild using original Guild parts from that particular period. For all practical purposes it is still a Guild guitar that would be great to have and that would still have value as a musical instrument. How much the value would be depends on who you're asking.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Hello - just noticed my old post again - the idea of percentage comes from "museum car" definition that is used in some countries. To qualify the parts must be either original or from original time of manufacture. Also car tax things in some countries - like Finland - count every major part of the car to make sure that you are not bringing in a new car and try to switch the part into your old carcass to make it good for another 20 years . . .

I love historical instruments. they are small time machines. They are windows on the past.

So, I got around to recording this quickly a month back, but forgot about it. Double-mic (Shure KSM-27 and SM57) into a portable Tascam 2-track recorder and some mixing in GarageBand, but my skills are pretty limited in that regard. Pretty much a push-record-and-just-go to demo the guitar.

Sounds great! Really shows that 12-string goodness!

Thanks for your thoughts and encouragement, folks. I think I was listening to Neil Young’s Comes a Time or something nearby. Like if you stretched out the chorus from “Out on the Weekend” for 5-minutes, maybe.

I absolutely love my '71 F-312NT. I've owned a number of Martin and Guild 12 strings over the years and nothing can touch my '71.

MAGICAL!

I've tossed around the term "lap piano" when describing Guild 12-strings.

This is exactly what I mean.

That is very kind and a high compliment. This one’s a bit strummy. I’m working on a line that highlights a little more single-notey melody and will try to record & post back in the coming weeks.

Happy new year, all!

Without too much ceremony, I've decided to test the waters here before pursuing the many internet avenues once the holiday shipping and return craze dies down.

PM for details if you're interested in pursuing this beauty.

Thanks!

the pictures that were on this string seem to be gone. Yo might want to list it on the buy sell trade area. And reload new pictures.

Actually since he said he was fishing, life is much easier for the Moderators if he doesn't list in FS until he has made up his mind to sell and fixed a price.

Since this was just updated to restore info that was inadvertently deleted...

And apologies to the OP if male gendered pronouns are not appropriate.

Thanks all for the clearance and back-channel interest. The guitar is now officially up for sale for $2950 in the buy and sell section.
