Well, patience has proven to be a virtue. I have managed to track down a '72 F212XL. I am buying it from a Forum member, and when I have his permission I will name him and post a picture. I will be attending Martinfest in Nazareth in August and collecting the guitar while I am there - I can hardly wait! Thank you to all who gave me advice a while ago when I joined this Forum.

Hi Jan - Mike actually posted the picture in his For sale thread already. I am looking forward to getting my hands on it - the picture looks great and if it sounds half as good as it looks, there will be no arguments from me. I seem to have stumbled upon a sought after guitar without too much hard work, and a great vote of thanks has to go to Mike, who knew I was looking and kept me in mind.
