Pardon my ignorance when it comes to Guild electrics, but what do the "old headstocks" look like?
The pic on the ad only shows the body.....

Older Guild have a lip headstock kinda Gibsonesque.

Aren't they supposed to have a better value (if we consider the "investment factor")?

I think it really depends on the model. Some were used as student guitars and didn't really have investment value built into them. Others, like the Johnny Smith and such have done well.

As always more knowledgeable folks are lurking.

I rather fancy the gibsonesque open-book headstock. it reminds me of parted hair, ha.
