Hombre mio (man of mine)Hello everybody! Some people own guitars ( so do I!)and some people actually play them. Oscar Aleman had a career parallel to Django Rheinardt's in the Swinging 40es, he played in Paris w/ Josephine Baker in jazz venues. He was a showman , a dancer, and he played wonderfully and with humor (Does humor belong in music?) If Groucho Marx had played guitar, I imagine it could have sounded like Oscar Aleman.The way he drives his chorus around 1:50 makes my fingers go weak in the knees. Ah, German border guards, I met the DDR ones way back when East Berlin still existed , they certainly could make your blood freeze with one glance. "What's your job, Buddy?" - "I'am a German Border Guard!"....(But they loved to play National Tricones, I guess the word " National" appealed to them...)
