Looking for an Orpheum Orchestra/OM 14-fret, preferably mahogany, but am open to rosewood.

Also looking for a GSR 30ce cocobolo.

Cash or willing to talk trades

Good luck in the hunt Mike. OM 14 fret mahogany Orpheums are near impossible to find.

I know. I’m looking for a hog body, small jumbo or similar size that is slightly larger than my F30, with 1-3/4 nut. This seems my best or only option for a Guild. I may have to look elsewhere.

That's a completely different beast though, and won't sound anywhere near as good. I've played and even owned a number of great OMs, including Collings, Bourgeois and Martin, and the Orpheum OM 14 Fret Mahogany is head and shoulders above all of them. They really are that good.

Ideally I’m seeking is a small jumbo shape, with 15.5-16 bout, but thin like an F30 depth. Essentially a GF series but with a 1-3/4 nut. The closest in the Guild lineup seems to be the Orpheum OM. I’m also starting to watch for a used Collings SJ that fits the bill as I think some were made with a wide nut. If there are other similar less expensive things out there please let me know.

You might really like a Bourgeois JOM. They come in shallow and deeper bodies, and I prefer the deeper ones (dreadnought depth). They're close to dreadnought size (16" lower bout), but have more of a pinched waist like an OM. I owned a wonderful '98 cedar over mahogany JOM, that I eventually sold to the guitarist the band I was in then (he's a good friend too), because he wouldn't stop begging me to buy it, and I kinda regret selling it. It was and is a terrific guitar, but Bourgeois guitars have gotten mighty expensive lately. Also, Dana is mostly retired these days, and isn't all that involved with the company anymore, so I'd recommend an older one, if you can find one.

A Martin OM-18 has the specs u seek, and shouldnt be so hard to find

I had a Martin OM and it is basically an F30 size. However maybe a used Martin 0000-18 might be more in line.

Damn that looks nice! I’ll have to look into used JOMs.

I had one like that for a while, but with an Adirondack top instead of sitka. It was a nice guitar, but nowhere near my Orpheum OM, or even the Bourgeois OM I owned for a while. I have heard that OMs made by M.J. Franks are excellent, but I've not had a chance to play one yet.

Hah! I just saw that and was about to ping you. It looks killer, but I would want the thinner 4” deep JOMT not the JOM. Go for it!
I can tell you that I bought a JOMT (Adi over EIR) from Acoustic Music Works last year, and returned it. I highly recommend the deep body!

July bump. Besides the OM I added the GSR as this size with a wide nut works best for me. Both rare, I know…
