Original pickguard?

I don't think I've seen a solid body model that used the stairstep pickguard. I don't know if it's factory original, but I kind of like it!

I agree. I think it looks pretty cool, especially with Hans' verification that it is original. I wonder if it's smaller than the one's on the archtops. Now I want to see how my M-75 would look with a few of my spare PGs.

I have a black 1971 M-75 just like that one complete with the pick guard. It is a wonderful guitar with the red dots on the back of the pick ups. A heavy guitar but it sent my Les Paul packing!
