Not only is it the state flower of Oregon, but it's also a sure sign of summer in the Northwest.

These grow wild along the creek and it's always interesting to watch them as the seasons roll by. :D

I've eaten a Greek rice dressing dish that's wrapped in pickled grape leaves...can't remember the name...but it was delicious leaves and all.

Those are REAL grape leaves that come with REAL grapes.
I've had that dish before but I'll have ponder a bit to come up with the name. Seems like it might be....dolmathes. It's Greek to me so check my spelling. :wink:

here we call them dolmades (I know that's how its spelled here because that's exactly how its pronounced in St. Louis
