sorry man. my one guitar for like a decade was a 1973 Martin D-35. so same tonewoods and top wood as the D50.
the only Martin I ever owned that was comparable sonically to the Guild D50 I owned was an HD-28. The D50 surpassed both my D-35 and D-28. that is all i am saying.
