Oh wow!! Haven't seen one of these in years but I grew up with these! My grandfather who was a plumber and a mason, had them. And my dad had these too. We had multiple ones all over the place. Also, regular tape measures, but I played with these as a kid! Thanks for that one, GG!!

I still see extension rulers every day. It’s a must doing site work…like in marking grading stakes. Especially on a windy day. You’ll just be fighting the wind all day with a retractable tape ruler. I have a few of them. Even one that will show a laser line in broad daylight.

My dad was a chain smoker. First thing in the morning (and after his daily nap) he had to light up before he got out of bed, and this thing would sit on his chest. Kind of a bean bag thing. I never picked up the habit - in fact never took a drag - but the amount of smoke I inhaled over the years more than made up for it.

I have one of those Boring things. They were actually worth 3x what I paid for a while, which is saying something because it was stupidly expensive and it is the junkiest piece of stupid I’ve ever bought (and that alone is saying something!) It’s basically a driveway/weed torch bolted (poorly) into an airsoft (I think) or some other toy.

And it’s not even a good flamethrower (which it clearly states on the box).
