Inspired by Davisman's "Then and Now" thread.

Post some piece of equipment (need not be music-related) you haven't seen for awhile that used to be commonplace . Here's a starter: the Brannock Device...

I remember going to get school shoes late in the summer. You'd take off your shoes and sit in a chair while and the salesman would sit on one of those funny little stools with the slanted ramp on it. He'd put the Brannock device on the rubber mat on the ramp and you'd put your stockinged foot on it while he snugged all the adjusters against your foot. Then he'd go look in the back for the shoe's you'd chosen in the size indicated by Brannock device.

Hey I have one of those.

"Objects you don't see much anymore"

How much space do we have?

How about these two on for size?

An ice saw, and tongs. I hear say there's no ice left to cut, and around here that's true for sure.

Taking a liberty with this thread's title a bit, I was going to post a photo or video of a bicyclist or person on an electric scooter obeying a Stop Sign, red light or one way street sign but it was impossible to find one, so I couldn't.

I'm pretty sure those things happen, just not in the GTA ;)

I still use a corded keyboard, but it doesn't have a PS2 connector, and it's definitely not an IBM.
I have several of those IBM Model M keyboards. They've been restored, and I use them daily. I'm actually typing this on the keyboard shown in the photo.

GuildedCage,
I wasn't implying that it was just a local problem.
While I'm not a world traveller, even in my short trips to towns and cities outside the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), I see this dangerous, selfish, and frankly stupid behaviour by a large segment of this population.
