I've been watching these Dream Catcher truss rod covers come and go on eBay for several years... but never seemed to know which Guild to put one on, so always passed them up.

One popped up again recently, and I thought... that would look nice on the DV-72MK! The pearl feathers match the pearl in the fret markers, and the ab has a greenish hue (more so in person) for the malachite. I happened to have a little birthday cash from my mom, so what the hey...

Here it is:

Edit : I found it lol hope you don't mind I got one to not sure it'll fit but looks right if not I'll sell it to one of you folks lol awesome find . I never would have thought to look for something like that .

Dave, that DV72 Malachite is just such a beautiful guitar. Period. Truss rod cover is a nice touch. A perfect non-permanent modification!!

Nice Gardman, I have that same truss rod cover on all of my Guild acoustics and electrics. I've been going to WEC for about 5-6 years now for all of my Truss rod covers. WEC does some nice inlay work and the Quality is always top notch. That looks awesome on your DV-72MK!

I really like it Dave. What some may not realize is that the high end DV's have a southwestern motif. The dream catcher enhances the theme of that particular guitar, and goes well. Our member "Coastie" sent me one (custom) out of the blue once which I display on my DV73. The hat matches the coral and the lettering matches the turquoise, and again, with the southwest theme.

I've been looking for a nice "Southwestern" design for a custom TRC for my DV-73... to be "rendered" in Turquoise, coral, and nickel silver, to match the 73s trim. Been thinking of a thunderbird, but haven't yet found one that nicely fits the "vertical" aspect ratio of a TRC... so I am still on the lookout.
