It is, indeed — it might chase a Japanese Gretsch out of the house. I added a TruArc bridge, which sounds great on it.

Here is a photo of the Prototype X175 Special I recently picked up next to the Westerly X160T.
I still don't understand why the pickup location on the large archtops were moved further away from the bridge on the NS models. Were they trying to balance the volume between the neck and bridge pups and the expense of less brightness at the bridge pup?
Need to add a Bigsby bridge and new strings to do a fair comparison between models. Although the X175 is thinner the X160T body width is less and seems more comfortable to me. It may just be familiarity.
