I noticed a new Guild case for S-100, Polara and T-Bird on eBay. Upon close inspection of the picture it looks like a NS Sunburst S-100 Polara with a Guildsby. The guitar has the NS TRC. I don't see a phase switch but it may be built into the volume and/or tone with an integral "pull" switch like the parts used on the Starfire1 guitars.

Notice the headstock is also bound!

Anyone else spot one of the Polaras with Guildsby?

Good catch! Accidental leak I'd say.... Summer NAMM will be in Nashville July 15-16, 2021.

Newark St. Guildsby vs. vintage:

I wonder where it will be made. The 2013 version was made at SPG, later production moved to WMI. Maybe that new one comes comes from Yako or back at SPG? The bound headstock would point to SPG. We will see soon I think.

EDIT Nov 2022: Those "Deluxe" are made in Indonesia!

That is very sweet with bound Chesterfield and tented Guild headstock! Do any of the other 'leccies have that? Kind of "busy" with the Guildsby (IMO), but looks pretty good with all that hardware!

^ Does CMG attend summer NAMM, Ralf? Used to be under Fender that New Hartford (and probably before that) only paid attention to winter NAMM.

Interesting S-100 variant, especially if it actually goes into production.

1. I had a Deluxe SG years ago with the stock horseshoe Bigsby, which was an extremely nice tremolo, imho. I think a Guildsby is a nice feature for these guitars. Hopefully there is enough room behind the bridge to still be able to play there and get the cool sounds. Anyone know if a Guildsby allows for this? Looks like it has enough string length there before the roller.

2. Could this Deluxe-100 be a release for another continent? The seller is selling the case in the uSA. But we don't know about this Burst-100. Could be a stock photo from Asian market.
I remember Fender used to release different Mustangs in Japan that one could not purchase here in the USA. Does CMG do that sort of thing?

No, never heard of such thing before. FMIC and Japan was a different story I'd say. This S-100 Deluxe seems to be for real as they created a new rectangular case for the solidbodies and CMG stock pictures (which I believe those are) would not use a prototype I'd say. There were Guild prototypes of various solid bodies in the last few years but never shown in official pictures.

Musicstorelive (=Pitbull Audio) offers lots of Guilds:

Yep, Guild has been experimenting quite a bit during Covid. I also recall a NS S-100 sunburst with the Hagstrom tremolo on it floating around at their offices a few years ago. Here is a video of their excellent artist Curt Chambers playing on a new Deluxe in black.

My guess is that it will be shown at NAMM 2022, and im looking forward to trying one myself! Also excited that they have a good hard case for these models now! For the record, i attempted (didn't modify or drill) to put a new Guildsby on my 2015 NS S-100 and it didn't fit properly and was floating away from the body, not flush like the 70's Deluxe which was cut to fit the top of the guitar without having the hinge on the butt side. Hopefully Guild made adjustments so it looks and feels great, it certainly has some big shoes to fill here.

Great find! So that video is already from April, how did we miss that? And it's a black version. So I still assume we will see that model in a few days from now at Summer NAMM in Nashville.

I don't remember the S-100 version but they had made a few more cool Jetstar versions as prototypes in December 2016 (which never went into production):

They had new Jetstar color prototypes shown in November 2019, which didn't go in production: Yellow (natural) with black pickguard and 3 P-90s, orange with B3 style bigsby and and blue with 2 Dynasonics, both with a white PG:

What we also have not seen yet where the 2 solidbody JS basses they had in the CMG showroom back in November 2019. The Pilot bass with EMGs is a vintage 80ies one however, according to Dylan (see his post below):

I played those Jetstar prototypes and they were cool, but when i was there before NAMM 2020 they had a Pelham Blue / White guard / Dynasonics with a stop tail, and an Orange / White guard /Dynasonics with a Bigsby B3 style tremolo on it, and a natural maple / black guard 3-P90's. The build quality was better and they played like butter, also really surf-punchy like one would expect from those pickups, very cool IMO. I own a 66' S-50 single pickup which i absolutely love, but the seafoam prototype above wasn't really a hit within the staff, im not sure what market there is for those guitars these days. Also, those TRC's have to go.

They made some reissue JSII bases which you pictured above, but the Pilot is a 80's one. They have some back stock from various era's hanging around.

O.k., Summer NAMM 2021 in Nashville is running now and CMG and Guild are not present... Also no press releases from them...Somehow disappointing...

It looks like Guild considered the Tremar tail for the NS S-100 in the past. I think the Bigsby is more practical.
