I'm curious anybody swapped the Seymour Duncan pups that come with the NS ITB/Black Bluesbird for some DeA gold tones? Any measurement issues? Easy to do?Worth the trouble?Forget it?Sacrilegious? Tell me please...

LeFin, have wondered similar things - haven't compared them with much but thus far I
like the way the DeArmond USA Gold Tones sound, and I find them
aesthetically pleasing as well. The pickups in an MIK Bluesbird I have sound pretty good too though.
Guitar in the photo is a DeArmond M72, it may be my favorite out of the various Bluesbird-ish
guitars DeArmond offered.

Very nice indeed!! M-72s are supposed to be chambered,so lighter than m-75s? Is that veneer on top? Gorgeous! They are a rare-bird in France, never seen one used for sale....

LeFin, I believe it's just a veneer top, and it's not carved like the M75-77s.
Yes, lighter and thinner than the M75-77s, and if the market is any indication,
and from my own observations, somewhat less common in the US than those models
or the entry-level set-neck M70s. Agreed, it's a handsome guitar :)
