So just for information sake. I emailed Curtis Novak about the Franz Soapbar offerings and asked if he could wind me a
set of Franz to standard P90 specs. I know the M75 is a different guitar than a Les Paul but I'm very curious as to the sound a of a P90
in that body. I have no complaints about the Franz Soapbar but if you like Tweed Deluxes and ever plugged in a P 90 equipped
guitar you'll know where I'm heading. I'm been selling off quite a few of my guitars and down to like 3 Guilds and 3 Fenders. Sold my P90 Gibson too. Certainly want to hear the M75 soapbar through the Tweed Deluxe But if I find I'm really missing the P90 sound it is great to know Novak pickups will wind me a set of P90 s using the Franz bobbins for the Aristocrat.
I'd actually like to hear his version of the Franz soapbar too:giggle:

Just a follow up after receiving my M75 Blk limited. These pickups, for what ever reason, are hotter than my older Newark M75.
Did some extensive playing through my Tweed Deluxe - which doesn't lie - and a P90 wind "On this guitar" is probably an overkill.

I've had a couple emails back and forth with Curtis Novak and I think he is on the right track for this pickup.
Just ordered a set of Novaks wind - Franz soapbars.

This may be of some interest to others, so once I receive them I'll post what I think through a tweed and Black face style amp.
Happy Friday!

Even hotter than they already were in the reissues huh? I don't think you'll regret the Novak pickups. He's a wizard. And yes, I'd be interestedto hear how you like them once you have them in the guitar!

I find the M75 Limited Black/nickel I just received noticeably hotter than the Sunburst Newark M75 with gold hardware
I had a few years ago. May just those 2 guitars were at each end of the spectrum but I think a P90 in the M75 Limited
would feed back in a bad way. The guitar is very alive unplugged so beefing up the output would probably make it more
of a one trick pony so to speak. I can get these reissues to drive easily through a Tweed 57' Deluxe.
