My driveway this morning. Last year we had to take down some white birch trees along the edge of the driveway. Heavy, wet snow clung to the branches and they were all but horizontal across the drive - impassible. Sorry to see them go.

I really like snow and the cold. It gives you an adventure every day. I lived in central Illinois for 5 years and loved every long winter. Even the ones with blizzards that shut down the town. That is the one bad thing about living in Texas...you get warm, hot, and hotter.

I'd figured that you guys "down south" were getting the same, Chaz. Driving wasn't so bad this morning... I've got this Subaru I bought late last century. The road salt has taken it's toll on the body but even today, at 200k, I turn the key and it goes through most anything.

I'd like to take quality photo like yours, Joe... but I think I would need a better cell phone for that. ;)

Nice picture, Frosty.

I like to look at snow, but that's about it. I also lived in Illinois and a few other northern areas, so I've had the pleasure.

Driving was fine today, and both of my kids' schools were open. Basically a non-event that way compared to the rest of the winter we had. It was quite beautiful in the morning with all the snow on the trees. I'm glad I didn't take the S2000, because I was getting pummeled by fall-off in the Volvo. Anyway, probably the last vestige of winter for us.

200K, pretty good. My S2000 is at 106K, but it's got a couple of rust spots. Bah. well you know I'm kinda' hard core... life is short, my friend.
