I've been sitting on this one for WAY too long, but I'm finally hitting "publish" and moving on. :)

Once again, touch ‘em all, cause you hit it out of the park. Very well done!

Another AAA review by GAD for a little known (at least by me) Guild! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the Schaller wraparound tailpiece. It's quite the hunk of hardware. And for me, the custom Dimarzios sound better than XR-7s, which is a bonus. :)

Another great review. One thing I found interesting though was the picture of Buddy Guy with the Nightbird literature. Although he did play a Nightingale (which is basically a Nightbird with F holes) for a while, I don't think he ever played a Nightbird. Of course, I could be wrong.

Great review of an apparently somewhat unusual guitar. I enjoy your reviews. However, that blue one..... you need that BLUE ONE!!!

Great! Just one correction, the S/N-prefix on the blue DX seems to be LC and not CL (which is a Bluesbird prefix).

As nice as the wraparound Schaller bridge is, was there a Kahler or Floyd option?

From what Hans has said they used parts on hand. I haven't seen one with a trem, but I've only seen maybe five of the original 20.

Kind a funny - I happen to have that same tailpiece-bridge contraption on that 1 of 3 + 2 guitars that I designed few decades ago - and I mostly hate it, because it is downright ugly - ( we have very slick words in finnish . . . ) - wish I could find a neat drop-in replacement - w gold plating

Looking at the pic it seems as the pup is covered w dust - so I took a brush - cleaned it - took another pic - no difference - hmmmm . . .
