Nice Guild headstock overlay replacement

I stumbled across this Jersey area luthier's blogpost showing his replacement of a Guild headstock overlay. He seems to have done a nice job. Anyone of you Jersey folks have experience with this luthier?

I've seen this before as the blog post is from 2019 but yes, he did an excellent job cutting the logo and the endresult looks very good!

His father Phil Petillo was quite famous around these parts. He designed a custom triangular fret. His shop was right across the highway from where I work. I was only there once a long time ago.

Here's his post with the complete T-100 restoration. Nice job except for the hugely awkward pickguard, which I'm not fond of.

Nice rosewood but that PG shape looks terrible!

I agree completely, Ralf. The modern shape looks incongruous with the traditional style of the Guild.

Yep. Tapered, flat head screws should have been used.
