Anyone know what the OEM tuners would have been on a 2012 D50 from the New Hartford factory? The originals on the guitar I just bought have been replaced with Rotomatics and they look terrible with exposed screw holes.

The Standard (rosewood fretboard) series had Gotoh 510 closed back tuners. The traditional series had Gotoh SE700 open backs.

Info from the old 2012 webpage:

D-50 Standard:
Gotoh® Die-Cast (EDIT: = SG301, not SG510)

D-50 Bluegrass Special (Traditional Series):

It has to be a BG Special even though the label only says D50. It has a gloss antique burst finish, chesterfield logo, tortoise binding and the top appears to be Adirondack. The footprint of the tuners are definitely open back.

So they were Gotoh® 700 Series Nickel-Plated Open-Back Tuners with the 06M button.
SE700-06M-N.

Yup, sounds like it. Definitely not a Standard series.

Thanks everybody. SE700’s it is. They are nice tuners. I have a set on another guitar and they are really smooth.
