This just arrived an hour ago: For a 23 year old guitar it looks in better condition than some new ones I've seen--I blame GAD for his enthusiasm for these SD-1
equipped Starfires for its purchase. I know "3s" are preferred, but my X150D has a Bigsby and I love the harp. And I did need a black guitar!

Who says IIIs are preferred? Not every electric needs to have a Bigsby. I imagine its lighter with the harp tailpiece. Looks great!

I have a '97 sunburst III which was essentially converted to a II with a harp tailpiece - perfect for me since I don't need a Bigsby. Great guitars with that low weight & definitely gotta love those pickups.

Part of my excuse in getting this--Our drummer, and one of my best friends died suddenly in August. Going through his things I found several pages of lyrics he'd written through the years but had never mentioned them to anyone in the band. I sent some to other members
and we're going compose music for them and put out a tribute album. I felt I needed the inspiration of a new instrument to come with
something for the songs I'm working on--so far, 2 down and many more to go. The fact that this was black also seemed to feel right.
