Howdy all. Andrew (awagner) and I just completed a trade deal. here's what I received from him. It's a gorgeous 1977 D 55 in really fine condition. 'I've always loved the classy looks of a nice D 55.

It's a pleasure dealing with Andrew. He's a class act with fine gear for sure.

Congratulations Richard! Very classy guitar for sure. I’m almost shocked you didn’t already have one. This particular one has a nice warm appearance which I find very appealing. Is the top age toned or is it just the lighting of the photo? In any case, she’s a beauty!

Yowza - beautiful guitar. Congrats, Richard.

My friend mention to me that the top on my new F55 was one of the best he's ever seen because of how tight the grain was. I'm still learning about this stuff, but by that measure the grain on your D55 looks spectacular.

Thanks, Richard. I have only parted with 3 guitars in my life, and 2 of them went to you.

People don’t need me to tell them how great it is “dealing” with Richard (it is) because he already has that well-deserved reputation.

We worked out a cash/trade deal with his (now my) D55 50th Anniversary, and my (now his) ‘77 D55. I’ll report on my acquisition after it gets a setup, but I already know that the guitar is exactly how Richard described it (probably better).

Westerly's from the '70s are my favorite Guilds, and that one looks like a very fine example.

Congrats once again, and enjoy!

Sounds like a great deal for both of you. A testament to the relationships LTG fosters! I know both of you will enjoy those D-55s.
