Thanks for your reply! Yes, you’re right. From what I’ve seen on Reverb, one comes on sale every 3-4 years.
Well then you're due! Here's the one I bought:

It was almost three years ago and it came from CME. FWIW I'd expect one selling today to go for a higher price, but you never know. A whole lot of crazy price action happened in the last three years.

Ahhhh I've drooled over this one many a time! It looks in amazing shape. I actually went to visit the CME about 2 months ago when I was visiting Chicago. Great team working there, super helpful and plain nice people.

I wouldn't be surprised if they go for a higher price nowadays, for sure. And let's hope you're right and another one shows up sometime soon! Thanks for all your replies.

I was at the San Francisco Symphony last night to see Sting and got an up close look at his black Guild SC3. It's got some dings in it, but it's gorgeous none-the-less!

Picked this up last week during the outage. This may be the blackest guitar I've ever seen. The neck is enormously wide at 1 7/8".

I love that it has the rosewood faceplate and bridge to offset the blackness, GAD. The ebony tuner buttons (if that's what they are) are a nice touch. I'm not sure I'd've gone with gold plated tuner plates, but they do go with the strap button and jack plug.

Wowsers! Very rare.

Oh, sorry. I see this is an old thread. 😊
