Huh, I thought all 312's were Braz based on the dates of manufacture. But on rare occasion, my assumptions have been proved wrong.

Looks like a great guitar! Looking forward to the day I can get mine back togther. Getting closer every day.

"...but I can't recall an F-312 that was ever confirmed as anything but Braz,"

There are quite a few EIR 312s around, and a few "hybrids" (Indian and Brazilian) as well.
Well thanks! I tried to confirm via s/n lists to see if they were still being made by the time they were using EIR but the '70-'79 list only shows numbers not models.

I gotta try to remember to check Hans book now that it's always handy. :)

I heard this song the other day and could not get it out of my head. Still can’t. Had to yank the bandages and pull out the 312. Very easy to play and embellish. Just sounds great on the 12 string.

beautiful! congrats and enjoy!!

F-312's were made thru 72 or 73. There are certianly examples with EIR that are definitely not Brazilian. Hard to say from only looking at a couple photos of this one, but if Tom Jacobs worked on this guitar, I would trust his assessment for sure. congrats again, Mike!

"What is going on with yours, and are you doing the work yourself?"

Top repairs, new bridge (pin relocation), neck reset, truss adjust, new tuners.

Yes.

Wow, that’s some mad skills you have to do that work yourself. Super cool. Good luck and I would LOVE to see pics of the progress.
