Literally an hour ago I picked up a used M75 Aristocrat in "sunburst" from Guitar Center. This guitar looks new and still has the plastic covering the plastic parts. I was at first kind of confused because the Guild site shows the vintage sunburst as being more of a typical sunburst. This one is darker, almost a reddish brown sunburst. I think this is a 2020 model from Sweetwater. Did Guild recently change the sunburst on these? The guitar I bought looks like this:

If it's really an Aristocrat P90 (solid body, P-90 pickups, MIC) it's a different model from the M-75 Aristocrat (fully hollow body, reissue Franz pickpus, MIK).

It doesn't feel solid. It's really light. I assume it's hollow or very heavily chambered?

Ah, I see now, this is an Aristocrat P90 which is indeed chambered! Can a mod move this to solid guitars?

Viewed front on, they look very similar. Easy to tell the difference from the back, with the Aristocrat P90 having covers over the control cavities and the M-75 back being unblemished.

General thoughts on these? I have 45 days to decide. For the price, there are others that are worth considering.

Hello BoneDigger, here's a "repair review" of the twin-sister "transblack Aristocrat" which differs slightly from your guitar, but that might give you some clues.(You've probably already seen this!)I gather that the Aristocracy goes like this: top notch US vintage (expensive)/ MIK aristocrats-sunburst and Goldtop, or , rarely, black, considered pretty good for the money/ Mic (or Indonesia)transblack & vsb-which seem somewhat under-rated IMO. I 'd go for a MIK one,but it depends on tastes : color/pickups, price tag, feeling, sound, matrimonial issues (What? a 23rd guitar? No way!!!!) etc..45 days to think it over should be ok...Venerable Veterans of LTG will probably give their regarded opinion on this (And certainly castigate me if I'm mistaken-yeah, I like that- "now , Darling, stomp all over me!Oops! sorry, I got carried away...)

The Aristocrat P90 in Vintage Sunburst was introduced during Summer NAMM 2019 together with the Aristocrat HH in Trans Black Burst.
They are made at Yako.

Thanks for the responses! So far. It seems like a pretty well put together guitar, but I am certainly interested in thoughts from anyone who has compared the P90 version to a MiK M75?
