I am a confirmed Guild 12 string player, but now and then I get the urge foe a sixer. I always end up selling them eventually, but you know how the bug goes.
I was seriously considering a B stock F250ce for $350, but decided $700 for a USA Guild with a hard case was a better use of my money.
I have a very nice D26012CE, and I figured the F250CE would be in the ballpark, but I really love the Westerly era guitars. Besides, who doesn't love a mahogany arch back.
Here's the link to the listing;
I'll post when I get it.

Nice! I love mine, a '79. So that gives me one arch back 'hog Dread with a 'hog top, and one with a Spruce top. Equally nice to play, but my D25M is road worn after 46 years and my D15 is in showroom condition.

Good move portsider. I mean seriously, that 30+ year old aged (likely honduran) mahogany is going to sound super sweet.

Glad someone here got it! That guitar has been in my watchlist for a few weeks. I got a notice yesterday it has sold. I’m really surprised it lasted this long. I looked it over thoroughly and thought it was an exceptional all hog guitar. Yes please let me know what I missed out on!

Yeah, I had looked at that one myself, it's a nice one! I decided to go for a 1989 D15M at GC a few weeks back and like it alot. I've had a 1985 D15-12 for a few years now and really like the sound. I prefer a 12 string that is not jangly and the mahogany top and body give me that, a well balanced tone.

I think it was Dread who said a while back he liked the look of simplicity that a D15 body has with no binding. I agree completely!

I offered $600 and he took it right away.
I'm kinda stoked, I bought one new in 94 or so and let my daughter take it to college with her and it got stolen. I didn't particularly love that guitar, but I didn't know much about setups and different string gauges then either. It's been about five years since I had a six string, so it's time.

The D15 is to the D25 what the D50 is to the D55?
A bit. A plain non bling D guitar. All mahogany. The D15 type of guitar was built by Martin back in the 40s? The Guild D15 reintroduced it in the mass market. And Martin started building them (again) back in the 90s. They are actually popular.
I was the only person to have a D15, in my rather large group of musician friends, for decades. I also frequented , and hosted many open miles etc. Not one D15. No D16 or D17s, (also all mahogany), either.
And everyone loved my D15!

All mahogany - well done! I just picked up an all hog dread 12-string. MIC, but still, it sings!

It came yesterday and other than a few finish cracks it was immaculate.
I tuned it up and played it, I didn't like the feel and it sounded a little dull. I contacted the seller who said he had 12s or 13s on it. He suggested 11s. I looked through my string drawer and found a couple of Elixir 10s which I thought could be too light. Further search uncovered a set of EJ16 D'Addarios. They are 12s but I thought I'd try them. I unstrung and oiled the fretboard. Then I put on the EJ16s.
The guitar sounds great. I guess the strings were old.
The first thing I played was the Stones' Connection. You can't do much better than a Keith Richard acoustic number when trying out a dred. The guitar sings and rings.

This D15 is really pretty.
And I agree, D'Addario EJ16s can cure a lot of tonal ills.

(their marketing team might want to drop me a line)

I love that light even grained hog with gloss finish. I have seen that on a few D-15's. Very nice!
